June 12, 2009 @ 10:48 AM (EST)
The 12th CMAS Underwater Photography World Championships were held at Jeju Island in Korea between May 31st and June 5th. Winners have been announced, and winning images we assume will be posted soon.

The CMAS world championships areheld every two years at various destinations around the world. Each participating country sends two participants along with a team manager and a model.
The Korean Underwater Association posted a nice page of images from Jeju Island, Korea to show the types of reefs and conditions that participants had available to shoot. Looks pretty good.
