As the GoPro continues to become a more popular tool for underwater video and photos, the need for extra accessories grows as well. Backscatter, DPG's retail partner, has catered to this increasing usership by offering products that treat the GoPro as more than just a side camera, and as fully functional primary camera.
Their latest GoPro add-on is the new Flip 3.1 filter for the GoPro, which is an upgrade to their current GoPro underwater filter accessory. With the growing sophistication of the GoPro cameras and users, the need for a more complex filter system has arised. The premise behind the Flip 3.1 filter is that offers more flexibility.

In addition to the traditional side flip, the 3.1 features a “Top Flip” that allows you to flip between fliters easily. While the standard filter is optimized for most diving, Backscatter has released additional filter options for different depths. The Shallow filter is optimized for 5-20 feet, the Dive filter, which is the "standard" filter is optimized between 20-50 feet and and Deep filter is meant to be used below 50 feet.

Another adaptor with a 55mm thread allows the addition of other filters: Graduated neutral density, polarizer for when shooting on the surface and +10 close up lens for macro. Popular filters among underwater videographers.
