Canon’s New Pro Photographer Certification
By Joseph Tepper, June 4, 2019 @ 05:27 PM (EST)

If you want to become a certified professional photographer it will only cost you $599. Or that’s what the sly sods at the satire news outlet The Babylon Bee would have you believe.

In fact, the “Professional Photographer” certification is nothing more than a joke. Although certain lines of the article hit close to home for working professionals. According to the certificate, pro shooters would be licensed to do photo shoots for family and friends at the low, low price of $50.

“In a lot of professions, you have to take classes or practice for years before you truly become a professional, but not in photography,” reads a fabricated quote from a Canon rep in The Babylon Bee post. “Just buy one of our budget to mid-range cameras, and you’re in.”

DPG is offering a “Professional Underwater Photography Certification” if you donate $250 or more to a marine conservation charity. Send your receipts to here to receive your certification.
