Chinese Company Announces $64 GoPro Competitor

There’s a new kid on the block. Chinese company Xiaomi has launched a GoPro HERO competitor with a fraction of the price tag—just $64.
The Yi Action Camera offers 1080p at 60fps, compared to just 30fps for the GoPro HERO. It also beats the HERO in megapixel count for stills (16MP vs. 5MP), storage (64GB vs. 32GB), and weight (72g vs. 111g). Notably, the Yi Action Camera is waterproof to 130 feet!
Don’t be surprised if we see GoPro HERO prices go down a bit in the coming months.
